Cooperstown Hawkeyes

The Late Great Cooperstown Hawkeyes

The Cooperstown Hawkeyes were an American Baseball team that played in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League from 2011-13 and was one of the founding members of the league.  They went inactive during the 2014 PGCBL season and have not returned after their negotiations with Doubleday Field reached an impasse and have not yet been able to obtain new facilities to field a team (source: Cooperston Crier).  It is the opinion of this website that summer collegiate baseball like that played in the PGCBL is one of the best community activities availble to families.  With low ticket costs, a family gets all the fun of minor league level play without the hit to the pocketbook.  We hope that baseball of this caliber returns to Cooperstown soon.
